This installation is inspired by the vibrant underwater habitats of Catalina Island, using intricate wirework to represent the dynamic relationship between fish and seagrass. One side features “Zostera” as a nursery for young fish, while the other side showcases “Macrocystis” as a refuge for mature fish, with fish moving between these two habitats to embody the delicate balance of the ecosystem. Oceanic projections immerse the audience in the natural rhythms of migration, inviting reflection on Earth’s self-regulating systems and the importance of biodiversity.
